Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shed 0.67 percent or 157.99 points at 23,586.20.
Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.44 percent or 67.98 points at 15,543.33.
Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,079.27.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.13 percent or 2.51 points at 1,995.96.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.31 percent or 26.41 points at 8,469.80.
