Stock and Commodity Market Daily Highlights

TODAY MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

·         The Sensex is up 149.18 points at 20569.44.

·         Nifty is up 44.90 points at 6102.00. About 1106 shares have advanced, 570 shares declined, and 97 shares are unchanged.

·         BSE Capital Goods, Realty, Oil & Gas, Auto and Bank indices gained 1 percent each while IT stocks are under pressure.

INDIAN COMMODITY MARKETS

·         Aluminum declined both globally and locally. At the LME platform the commodity fell by 0.9% to close at $1757/MT mark.

·         Copper was down by 0.6% at the LME platform.

·         Lead was the another weak performer after nickel in the yesterday`s trading session. Lead declined around 1% at the LME platform.

·         Nickel was the worst performer yesterday both globally and locally. Nickel was down by 1.2% at the LME platform to end the day at $13285/MT mark.
