Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.21 percent or 49.90 points at 23,734.35.
Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.71 percent or 110.62 points at 15,508.51.
Singapore’s Straits Times was down 0.17 percent or 5.45 points at 3,175.20.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite fell 0.29 percent or 5.81 points at 2,010.17.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.31 percent or 25.59 points at 8,213.10.
