Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 0.22 percent or 50.15 points at 22,785.67.
Japan’s Nikkei shed 1.08 percent or 156.51 points at 14,329.90.
Singapore’s Straits Times fell 0.14 percent or 4.66 points at 3,213.29.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.74 percent or 15.06 points at 2,031.63.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.36 percent or 30.38 points at 8,383.34.
